Also known as the “jewel of Khmer Art”, the Banteay Srei temple is known for its intricate carvings made of pink sandstones. The name “Banteay Srei” translates to “citadel of women” or “citadel of beauty”. Founded in 967, carvings have remained remarkably well-preserved.
